a. These commands are not standard PC Card ATA commands and these
features are no longer supported with the introduction of 256 Mbit Flash
Technology. If one of these commands is issued, the sectors will be erased
but there will be no net gain in write performance when using the Write
Without Erase command.

Check Power Mode–98H, E5H
This command checks the power mode.
If the CompactFlash Card is in, about to enter, or recovering from sleep mode,
it sets BSY, sets the Sector Count Register to 00h, clears BSY and generates
an interrupt.
If the card is in Idle mode, it sets BSY, sets the Sector Count Register to FFh,
clears BSY and generates an interrupt.
